Carolyn (Baxter) Mendenhall

Services for Carolyn Kay Mendenhall will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Schindewolf Stevens Stout Funeral Home in Kenton by the Rev. Wayne T. Vaughn. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
She died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011 at Millcreek Community Hospital in Erie, Pa.
She was born July 8, 1947 in Marion to Clyde and Verna Baxter. On June 10, 1967, she married Wayne Mendenhall, who preceded her in death on April 11, 2005.
Surviving are three daughters, Annette (Bob) Bliss of McKean, Pa., Thelma (Tom) Howe of Ostrander and Shantee (Hank) Chamberlain of Dunkirk; a son, Wayne “Beano” (Brandi) Mendenhall of Kenton; 12 grandchildren, Ashley, Kelli, Chris, Trea, Tasmin, Mercedes, Aubrey, Cynthia, Hank, Joe, Alexander, and Alexandra; seven great-grandchildren and a brother, Gary Baxter.
She previously worked at Ace Hardware in Kenton and at the Great Scott grocery store in Findlay.
She graduated from Kenton High School and following high school took accounting classes to further her education.
She enjoyed puzzle books and loved the companionship of her dogs, Trixie, Ruffie and Molly.
