L. Ann Quinn, age 68 of Kenton, passed away at 11:58 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at her residence. She was born December 23, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of the late Silas and Martha (Koons) Hatcher. On August 26, 1967, Ann married Michael D. Quinn and he passed away August 18, 2012. Ann is survived by her children Patrick (Pam) Quinn of Upper Sandusky, OH, Laura (Jim) Barber of Minneola, FL, Paula (Robin) Beverly of Kenton, OH, and Sara (Darrin) Reese of Kenton, OH; grandchildren Shawn (Ashley) Quinn, Ryan (Kim) Quinn, Allison (Jarrod) Kissling, Adam Beverly, Erica Beverly, Ethan Beverly, Michael Barber, Jimmy Barber, Graham Reese, and Max Reese; and great-grandchildren Peyton and Abigail Quinn, Parker Cline, and Aubree Quinn. Ann was a longtime educator in Hardin County, including 15 years as a teacher at Ridgemont Elementary, 4 years as a principal at Riverdale Elementary, and retired from Kenton City Schools after 16 years as an elementary principal. She was the former owner of Quinn's Music in Kenton and taught piano lessons for many years. Ann was the organist at the Immaculate Conception Church for over 10 years. Ann graduated in 1965 from Kenton High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from The Ohio State University in 1980. She received a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from The Ohio State University in 1990, and her Principal's license from The Ohio State University in 1992. Ann was a farm girl at heart. She enjoyed living on her family farm and porch sitting with her cats. She often referred to her adult children as her "greatest accomplishment." Some of Ann's best advice was given in the form of one of her favorite quotes: "So many things to think about, but nothing to worry about." Her joy in life was her 14 favorite grandchildren and playing the pipe organ at the Immaculate Conception Church. A Mass of Christian Burial for L. Ann Quinn will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the Immaculate Conception Church with Father David Young and Father Anthony Dinovo officiating.
